Priti, as a young girl would watch closely and learn from her father. She was very interested in carpentry and learned everything just by watching him, making her first cupboard at the age of 20, which she also managed to sell. Priti started her first workshop in 2014 and was the only female assistant carpenter there. Trained in business development under the Skill India mission, she now dreams of opening a large showroom someday. Today, Priti is applying the skills she learnt, with her business steadily growing. Priti gets very annoyed at the gender discrimination still rampant at her workplace and is of the opinion that everyone is capable of any work. She also considers no work as too big or too small. To succeed, one should just follow their dreams and keep at it by working hard.*
