A Dento Oral Hygienist is a dental allied professional who is an expert on oral health, typically focusing on techniques in oral hygiene. Some of the key responsibilities of Dento Oral Hygienists are to remove all sorts of germs from the mouth and to keep the teeth in good condition. They also apply decay preventive agents such as fluorides and sealants, chart medical and dental histories, as well as take and develop dental x-ray films.

Minimum Qualification • After completing class 12 in the Science stream and being 18 years of age you can enrol for National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF)* level 5 dento oral hygienist training
* NSQF is a nationally integrated education and competency-based framework that enables persons to acquire desired competency levels in a chosen field. NSQF includes vocational education, vocational training, general education and technical education which prepares an individual for the job market with competent skills. An individual may return at any time to upgrade skills after gaining experience
