Entry Pathway
1. Complete 10 + 2 in the Science stream (Physics, Chemistry and Biology)
2. Complete Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in Industrial Fish and Fisheries/Zoology/Chemistry/Fisheries, followed by a Diploma in Aquaculture Management/Fish Products Technology (DFPT)
OR
Complete Bachelor’s degree (B.F.Sc) in Fisheries Science, followed by an M.F.Sc in Aquaculture/Fish Processing/Fisheries Extension/Fisheries Hydrography.
For admissions, you have to clear B.F.Sc. entrance exams which are conducted by each state.

Theo Johns is an Aquaculture Technician with the National Lobster Hatchery, UK. He studied Physics, Chemistry, Human Biology and Maths and then decided to go for a broad science degree, studying Environmental Science. He was then subsequently trained in aquaculture at the National Lobster Hatchery. He has helped re-establish the hatchery in Newlyn as it was closed for several years due to lack of funding.*
